Stonehenge (unpublished Plate from the Liber Studiorum) anonymous British

  • Curator’s description:

    Description

Acording to Cook and Wedderburn (XXI.305), the Supplementary Cabinet was 'a cabinet which Ruskin placed in the School but did not fill'; the examples which it now contains were placed there shortly before their catalogue was published in 1906. This particular print can no longer be found in the collection, and is illustrated here by a surrogate, a modern impression from the plate in the collection of the British Museum (accession no. 1889-7-24-267).
